MPC 1000 - New pads?

Hi all,

Im thinking about purchasing an MPC either the 1000 or looking to step up to a 2500. This is not the question.

I keep reading different things about 'New pads' on some models and I cant work out if this is a good thing or a bad thing?

If I am going to go for a second hand one, do i want to find one with new pads? Are these pads an upgrade, that only come on newer models? Or is it that they have been replaced?

Or if i go for a new one - should i try and find one with the old pads? etc as you can see im confused?

Can someone shed some light on this for me.

you dont want the one with the old pads (All blues and some black). I would say just save a couple extra bucks and buy a new one from a store with a warranty. You can verify if the pads are new by pulling on any of the corner pads. If other pads move with it it is the new set. If the pads move individually and do not affect the pads near it its the old pads.
