MPC 5000 or The 1000?

between your fantom g and mpc, which do you use to sequence with? if it's the mpc (which i presume) what made you get the fantom g as opposed to the many other sound source modules/kbs available?

I will always sequence with an MPC. Everybody else in my household uses the Fantom G because it is self-contained and don't have to load files on the MPC and Fantom to get access songs.

One of the main reasons why I purchased the Fantom G is because I wanted a keyboard sampler and it also has a great interface. Sound modules are getting smaller and smaller, have tiny LCD screens and way to many menus to go through to tweak sounds. If some company produced a rack mounted synth with a VGA expansion and a mouse, I would pick that up immediately.

not sure if it helps, but you can get rack mount ATX formfactor cases for your computer. They can be bought for fairly cheap... but often you will see them overpriced.
