I'm debating between a 4000 and 5000 coming from jjos2xl mpc 1K. Of course I'm also enticed by vintage machines. Just doing some homework.

I sat down with an mpc 5k (os1) at guitar center and didn't care for it. It was seriously limited and cumbersome.
