I have the same set up you got though my ASR has SCSI and my MPC2000XL has a the internal PCD-47B SCSI card reader and a 9Gb internal HD I modded.
In saying that, even though I'd never sell my gear, I'd be sad to say I'd part with the 2000XL. Mainly because the MV is way much more better than the 2000XL even with the VGA which is easier on the eyes and easier editing. It just takes time to get out of the mindset that the MV is not another MPC... at all.

the more i think about it, i'll most likely keep it all until i get a good idea of how i can or if i can use it. i used to have the MV and am looking forward to getting it again. i am not in any hurry to sell off anything an will probably not get another opportunity like this again. i really enjoyed this topic, brings back my interest in this forum over all.
