SP 404 or mpc 500? need help

^ yeah, but the 404s pitchshifting is garbage. when u slightly change the pitch of a sound, it sounds like a timestreched piece of sh*t.

ya the only real benefit with the Dr Sample is the sampling + effects and the real time control, other then that it lacks in the sequencing department

o ya and sampling is really teadeous on those things. i sold my 303 to get a 1000, i admit i do miss it though.

I got a good deal from vst for the 500. its 6papers with exm128,1gb cf n extended warranty included! its more then I would get by getting it in guitar center, I think its a decent deal do u

just remember to take your time learning it!! i cant stress that enough with the 500, before complaining of what its lacking, take the time to fully explore what it has to offer

I would buy an MPC 500 for my son. He is 6.

That machine is a huge waste of money. I was just implying that it is a toy. I wouldnever torture my son like that. He is getting started on my 1000 and turntables.
