seriously dudes, should i keep my MPC1K or get a MPC2K XL?

The distance between the pads on the 1k are the same as all the other models. The only difference is that the length (from top to bottom of the pads) is shorter by a few millimeters.

its just a matter of personal preference. i do prefer the built qualitiy and workflow of the MPC-2000 XL.
i had the MPC-2500 for a couple of weeks and i hated the feel of the pads buttons and datawheel.

if you know the 1k inside and out why fk with your flow

if you want to learn the 2k then buy it in addition to having your 1k that why you can learn the 2k in your spare time

I got rid of my 2000 a long time ago....didnt even want another mpc until i messed with a 1k on the JJos..it was a wrap since then.

2000xl is overrated, stick with the 1000

If you go to the 2000XL you will be downgrading, my friends got the 1000 which is awesome with JJ OS, ive got a 2500 now, used to use a 2000XL MCD upgraded, the processor speed will piss you off with the 2000 XL even with mcd and OS 1.2 compared to the 1000. id stick with the 1000 because the older the mpc the more physical issues, lcd screen, knobs, buttons sticking and not working as good.
