The best effects, recording, mastering, and conversion takes place with a mix of outboard hardware and a DAW. The weaknesses of (any) MPC streamline workflow in this environment and the MPC's strenghts, (quick sampling, routing, and sequencing) are tailored to what is needed when a DAW and outboard gears are involved.
If you like to work in one box, the MV is better due to the better effects, and faders, if you need them

Thanks for your insights, your opinions have been noted and will be taken into consideration. No i am not about to buy a mv i owned 1 when they came out and did not really like it then and have also owned a mpc 2k xl and a 1000 as well but i was just wondering about the general forum readers and what they thought. Thanks.
