Opinions on next purchase : MPC1000 JJOS or MPC5000

I don't know how the 5k handles the way it saves, but the 4k's 'Save New And Modified' works well. So even though big projects take an age to load, they are super quick to save if you've only added a few samples.

totally fine overwriting samples/prj/seq/pgm files for the last few years here. i should hope so, anyway, as i do it with songs i've spent weeks and even months on haha

Agree with Nym, I've never experienced any issues with overwriting files either
