umm no.. sh*t's hit the fan since all these corporate ass-munches flooded the board. There's no real information value to 90% of these threads & it's like offtopic without laughs.

I dearly hope that I could limit myself from seeing topics from Ren-board...

99.9% of this is accurate! Only thing I disagree with is the first sentence of #11. Once you tag your sounds, it's really quick to load them up from the hardware and scroll through them. I know people frown against the tagging method but it actually works great and keeps your **** really organized by sound type if you tag right! And tagging doesn't take that long.

1.8 is out now and has some nasty bugs of it's own!

In other news, the thread on GearSlutz got canned I see! Wonder what happened! :hmmm:

I am not feeling tagging. I just want to open the browser, point it to my favorite folder and load:

1. Press [Browser Button]
2. Use data wheel to scroll through samples
3. Press F6 [Load]; sample will load to highlighted pad

There is nothing more I need in this aspect minus load folder/auto create program.

1.8 is out. It was underwhelming when NI released its features a few months ago and it is still underwhelming. I can't get excited about features MPCs have had for a decade. Only the Time stretch by Bars is what I like. Bugs? Not unexpected. NI will release a maintenance and get it sorted out; I have no doubts. But it will keep the Maschine fan-boys at bey here.

And?

so.. you're pissed.... not me (nor are the rest of the non-fan-boys, as we're not worrying about swaying opinions...)

so.. both of you are responsible.. lol. Great job getting as many threads locked there as you do here when you have to defend the product you help fix bugs on. Well done.

Edit - I just saw a demo of a potential feature that everyone has been wanting for a long time.

I don't believe he is actually telling lies. He just isn't knowledgeable about the Ren and what it actually does and doesn't do.

I like tagging for the simple fact that I can scroll through just ALL of my snares for example, regardless of what folder they are in on my hard drive, without having to put them all in the same folder and ruining my storage organization. Seems like in Ren, you would have to go in and out of folder to folder and browse through every sound in a folder just to find a good snare. When I'm looking for snares, I don't wanna scroll through kicks and hi hats. So for me, doing a one time tagging of a samples folder makes it much easier in the long run! I can browse through ALL my snares, or just the snares from a certain kit/folder.

Maschine has a snare folder. You can just point the browser to that folder to load the snare you want or just drag-n-drop the folder and load all of the samples into the Ren.

I guess I just love being unorganized.

LOVE IT!

 Talk about laying the SMACK down. When you feel the need to go back and forth in every mpc ren thread made on every message board, your either getting paid handsomely to do so or got way too much time on your hands.

Make some beats and enjoy your tools.

Going to have to give Tony a round of applause myself. Well played against the spam.

The MPC Ren thread is a sticky at the top of the Gear Slutz page now. The Ren threads were only temporarily shut down.

Tony already banned those trolling the Ren threads and gave warnings to several others. Gear Slutz is a much better place to discuss the Ren now.
