Yes i can hear wich tracks are made fully on a 2000xl. I believe that on 50's latest album no one used the 2000xl for the whole track. Em, Needlz, JR rottem and scott storch use it for drums i think.

But you made the same point as i do: you need to have expensive outboard gear to compensate the sound of the 2000.

That is completely untrue. They use expensive outboard gear even with the 3000. The biggest producers are not using any MPC for the entire track. MPCs are being used for drums and sequencing keyboards for the most part. Em uses an MPC 3000 and his drums on that CD don't standout when you compare them to the other producers that used XLs.

you don't know what these guys do. if you did you'd be making the same money and not gloating over making $650 selling an s6000 you probably put too much time and money into.

i´ve been using a mpc3000 for 6 years now. i still love it. now i bought a mpc1000. i use both now. the mpc1000 just for special filter effects, mpc3000 is still my big bang..

I know as much as what they say in interviews or what I can see in pics of their studios. That is as much as many of us can do...or just pick up the latest issues of Scratch and read their Tool Boxes. I seriously doubt that they will write that they use an XL when they actually use a 3000...or that they use an MV when they use an MPC 60...eh..wait, I think Jermaine Dupri did that He's one reason why I would never pick up an MPC 60...unless I was running it through an SSL board.........

I do know when someone is indorsing a product or actually have experience using one. JD sounded silly on the Roland site talking about the MV when he uses an MPC 60 for sure. Pete Rock has used an SP for a minute though. He may or may not use an MPC...but at least he is knowlegable how to use one....Dre uses an MPC 3000...Kanye an MPC 2000...and at this moment, no new MPC has caused them to switch up...

I read the Scratch but maybe everything that is written in that magazine is not the truth....indeed. I bet Em called you yesterday to say that he switches to a 3000. Yes i got to believe you instead of the Scratch

Thats what im telling you for 5 pages now. Its because some of the most used mpc's suck when it comes to the sound....

Ahhh..no. For 5 pages you have been trying to convince people that the 2000/2000XL sounds terrible when this is not true at all. When I said that most producers are not using MPCs for their entire track...I mean that they are not using the MPCs sampler to record old loops and play them back. Very few people that make their living off of music do this these days. Not because any MPC sounds terrible...they just want more of their publishing.

You can take what you want from reading Scratch. (I have all the issues..unles I new one just hit the stands). But it is clear that the MPC 2000/2000XL are among the most used MPCs ever. An MPC and some racks modules is all you need.........

So how long will you old onto your dusty MPCs and move to the next level? C'mon and join the fun

mpc2k and 2kxl sound likes hit, if u don't think so, your ears are broken:-)
