Editing and General Workflow - 1000 vs. 2500

Curious if the 2500 offers a quicker and smoother workflow over the 1000? I'm considering both and noticed the 2500 has some more dedicated buttons etc. Is there less menu navigation etc, with the 2500 for editing and general song creation? Is it not such a big deal on the 1000?

They are almost completely identical. The only thing that will probably go faster is entering numberic data, cuz of the dedicated numberic buttons.
