A 3000 in good shape is A LOT harder to find than a good 2kXL . Plus (I know there's gotta be someone on here who has statistics) , there were a lot more 2kXL's made than 3000's . Just check eBay, you'll run into about 20 2kXL's but only see 3 or 4 3000's up there .

Also the MSRP of the 3000 was a little over 3 grand when it came out and the 2kXL was about 1/2 that . Lowest resale value to most is about a 3rd of the price and that's about right according to eBay . $1000 + for a 3000 and $500 + for 2kXL's .

dont forget the most important thing...sound. The way the 3k crunches up the sound etc.

I wouldn't say it's Crunchy more like Crisp.
