Witch Mpc choose ?

Hi , this is Sid-Sansas french Beatmaker (Sorry for my basic school English) but i'm asking me witch mpc to choose ?

I mean , we got mpc1000 , mpc500 , mpc2500 , mpc xl 2000 , Mpk49 .... the list is long !

I've seen many of you using the mpc xl 2000 on youtube . But Mpc xl 2000 making better song than Mpc500 ?

Or this is just the price who's changing ? But the Real Real question is , why the Mpc xl 2000 is more expensive than the other ?

the XL is not really more expensive.... it all depends. if you see an xl for more expensive then the 2500 then somebody is trying to rip you off.

Don't worry the 2500 is more expensive then the Xl 2000 in france ^^ !

well it depends on what you think is better.

the 4000 is known as the biggest and best machine, the most pro machine out of the series.

the 5000 probably wins when it comes to the most features and capabilities... however a lot of people hate it because it has a lot of problems. it apparently freezes a lot, it runs very slow once you put the latest operating system which solves some of the problems it had.... and apparently there was a problem saving your projects.

the 60 is known for making drums sound warm, but it cant take much ram so you cant sample a lot with it.

the 2000 classic is known for having the best jog wheel

the 2000xl is known for being all around great. it is built like a tank, the operating system is solid, it can take memory cards with the upgrade... but after a few years your screen might start losing pixels. the replacement screen is expensive.

the 1000 and 2500 are almost the same except the 2500 has a better tilt screen, full size pads, more outputs and that stuff. they have more features then the 2000xl.

the 3000 is the one dr dre and many other famous people used.... it is a very solid machine. it has a few less features then the 2000xl but they are considered equal for the most part.

the 500... only the people who started with a 500 seem to like this machine. it is good because it can run on batteries... but most people think this is the crappiest mpc, in fact some people dont even consider this a real mpc.


I think most people will agree that the 4000 is the best MPC.. or at least the most powerful.

You get what you need if you buy a mpc-1000 and JJ OS 2XL

Can anybody else offer some more opinions on the best MPC to choose?
It seems like the 2000xl is very popular, but the 2500 has more features.
I'm tossing up between the two and would be mostly sampling from vinyl to make hip hop beats.

hey, this is comming from an mpc 2000xl fan...

go with the mpc 1000. you have everything and more with that machine... it has the capabilities you need to do everything and it has way more features then the 2000xl.

get the 1000 with jjos. you can get it for cheap and it is very popular.

i cant really see why some ppl have problems with the 5000..Im still on the 1.01 OS and i havent had any problems. I would upgrade to 2.0 to get the new features but ppl talking about the other bugs and stuff on the new OS scares me.. so im happy with what i got.

hi i had mpc 1000 , mpc 2000xl and mpc 2500 , i have liked them all but if you are new to them go with the mpc 1000 or the mpc 2500 as the manuals are easy and they have more feature's . i found that the 2500 has less menu's with more function's on the main pannel !!!
