Ima catch alot of hell for this but i would say the 5k, solely because 25 yrs from now the bugs would be fixed and its the most up to date, eventually the 60-2000 will be to hard to find parts for

Ask someone who needs a display for their OG 2k and see how they feel.

I think the 2500 strikes the perfect balance between form and function from the MPs I have used.

I also can't imagine anyone as focussed to an OS as JJ taking on the 5k either.

You should know my choice by the response I gave in your other thread.

Might as well be in jail if you're gonna wait 25 yrs for the next update.

Jam that up your betty crocker son.

MPC 5000.

In an ideal world it would be an MPC 3000 with all the expandability and options of the 2500.

Would that also include a larger screen like the 4k or 5k?

Card reader and a computer and I would be good to go.

Don't really know which mpc to chose. Every one has it flaws. Mpc 2500 is up to date and does everything I want it to. Still it doesn't give me that edge soundwise I'm looking for. Maybe a 3k, but don't know if it's still possible to find replacement parts over 10 years.

For me it's:

Soundwise and Groove

MPC 60>MPC 3000>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>The rest

Fuctionality

MPC 5000>>2500 (JJOS)>4000>>>>>>>>The rest

Build quality

Roger Linn MPC's>>4000>>>>>>>>>>>The rest

Overall I think the MPC 3000 is the GOAT, but the MPC 5000 or 4000 is the workhorse.
