4K in a New York minute. Timing and it's hardware. You can plug a 4K into something like live and do a lot of damage with drum racks. Then when you unplug the 4K from the sampler you have a 512MB sampler.

They actually compliment each other well. I bought the Studio thinking it would replace my 4k and it really can't. But when looked at as a sound module for the 4k, it's pretty slick, man (though at that point the studio is a bit excessive).
Ultimately, my Maschine brought all of the Komplete awesomness into the same traditional role any outboard sound module is.
But if I had to only have one, I wouldn't even consider getting rid of my 4k. It's a much more musical device.
