so maschine announces a snoozer for us akai users which we have had the honor for the past 30 years standalone.. which the whole NI never wanted now they make basically an abelton/ force standalone with clips.. so now we have to wait until maschine drops there device before we get an update at least that what I feel..

Competition is a good thing.

Maybe Akai will step it up with plugin options, finally give us that drum synth, or offer better sequencer functionality.. whatever it is, I am looking forward to it.

Personally, feature-wise the maschine+ looks inferior and too expensive, but the native instruments sounds are better in my view and some prefer the workflow . So we shall see how this shakes out.

At the end of the day though, more competition hopefully helps Akai get some motivation to up their game a bit.
