? i'm considering buying either one or the other, anyone have any thoughts on this? mpc4000 is a bit bigger tha nthe 2500 no?i want a portable machine i can basically have as a whole studio. it seems the 2500 and 4000 are about the same price used. and if the 4000 is the flagship, is there really any reason to get the 2500 over the 4000? one thing i do notice, is the 8 outs standard on the 2500, n not on teh 4000, that's kinda bullshit:(

I don´t have all specs in mind, but for me the 2500 seems to be a cheaper (well, more compact) platform for some of the 4000´s features.
The 2500 is smaller than the 4000, physically and technically.
I think that the 2500 will fall in price in about 2 years, while the 4000 will keep its status as nearly complete all in one studio.

i'd get the 4000 if you don't need portability, if you need portability go the mpc2500...
