What do you guys think...

is the 2500 worth it? Im already growin out of the 1k, and all the problems ive encountered are making me want to switch to a different model...

My Tap tempo lost its functionality, while note repeat still works...this happened within 3 months of workin with it...my erase button somehow broke...and the store that i got it from is taking waaay to long to replace it

As much as i love the MPC 1000 BK, im thinkin bout movin up to the 2500 or even down to the XL...

I mean...WTF, why start off with a caddillac of machines like the 60 mrk 1&2, 2000, 2000XL, 3000...then create a machine that is totally portable, but to me at least unreliable and not to mention plastic...both the 1k and the 2500,,whaddup with that...does Numark have anything to do with this?

any ways, yall can vent out what ur opinions are on this predicament...MPC 1k or the MPC 2500...im kinda torn in the middle...

If you can afford the 2500 get it, I had the 2000XL nice machine, but ;you got to be willing to move ahead, I'm thinking about getting the 4k,or the 25k,I will still keep the 1k,haven't had any hardware problems yet. 8)

Hey Dj-t what did you think about the 2000xl? How do you think it sizes up to the 1000? I heard that it is slow as hell but easier to work on. I've messed around with the 25k in Gutair center and it is amazingly similar to the 1000. In fact if you own a 1000 and know how to use it you should know how to use the 2500 real well right from the get go. I'm not to sure about the 2000xl though. Someone once told me that the 1000, 2500, and 4000 are all pretty similar in regards to the OS, and the 60, 3000, and 2000 are the old school OS.
