MPC frequency response test

I have decided to try to gather some information on the frequency response characteristics of the various MPC's, and have devised a test for this which I have published up here.

I am looking for others to test out their own systems so we can compare results, please help out if you have 5 minutes to spare!

I have just added an input test for the MPC 4000 as requested. Please do this test yourselves and send me the results! I am especialy interested in what an MPC 60 frequency response looks like!

I can put bigger pics in there, but they don't really show much more TBH.

I had MP3's up there for the tests until I looked at the waveform in Soundforge and realized that they were totally useless!

I will work out something to give you a more detailed view, but for the moment, I am more keen to get the results from other users with different machines. I haven't had any replies so far at all

Would you have a problem with nik posting a link, and request for testing, in each respective MPC forum section ??

MPC 1000, MPC 3000, MPC 60/60Mk2, MPC 2500, MPC 2000/2000XL

Just download the test swept tone, and follow the instructions above, then email me the results! It should take you about 5 minutes.


If it ever finishes with ALL MPC's being tested, it could possibly be a sticky in here.

Thanks for that alpha80 - maybe I need to speak to mr admin anyway... everyone could learn a lot about the equipment by doing this.

Let's see some test results. I'm surprised more people aren't into wanting to know the results.

Seems most people prefer to have some meaningless 'my mpc is the best, all others suck' argument than to try to help ourselves understand these machines better ourselves.

You should look into a free file hosting website like ALOT of people have here.

yeh I may have been over dramatic there, just seems on the net ppl like to talk subjectivly, but if you try and do something scientific, everyone clams up.

I have a 2kxl, I'll do the test for the 2kxl, how's that?

testing freq response with ur method is a very limited test and proves...welll....not much
