Sell 2000XL for 1000?

Was wondering if it would be a better value for me to sell off my 2000XL and get a 1000 instead? People are saying with the OS upgrades, 1000 is better.

better value, yes
but people coming from older models tend not to love the 1000 as much

don't get it if you're afraid of repairs/computer parts/the occasional soldering.

I love my XL...
But the 1k is cute

Good luck selling.. The market is crap at the moment for 2000XL's..
I had a fully loaded 2000XL (all options, effects, outputs, zip disk, etc) and couldnt get rid of it...There are too many people selling at the moment..People are practically giving them away...You might be better off buying another 2000XL since they are so cheap..

My advice is to KEEP the 2000XL...The 1000 feels like toy and most likely you will regret getting rid of the 2000XL. Many other people got rid of the 2000XL (including me and a bunch of my mates) to grab a 1000 and then quickly returned to 2000XL..

Unless you have spent time with the 1000 and you are SURE you REALLY like it, DONT get rid of the 2000XL..

But hey, dont listen to me..Just wanted to let you know I regretted the decison your about to make..

**** 1000... man you know that if you sell your 2000xl away right now you´d be doing a huge mistake, akai stopped making 2000xls along time ago and they dont do em 2000xlmcd-versions anymore so if you sell your 2000xl and someday you would wanna get back producing with 2000xl you have to have big pile of loot then... 2000xl is becomming reel rare in a few years... you wont see em much on sale... hang on to your 2000xl... and yeah 1000 is smaller but the sound it has is much thinner than with your 2000xl...

are u stupid 2000XL's are the easiest MPC to find on ebay these days. and I don't see that changing soon.

yeah that's right. i spend all my time fixing my sampler, that's why i never make any music, particularly not instrumental albums - i simply wouldn't have the time to make 16 songs and put em online on my mpc1000 because i'm always fixing the damn thing.

as for 2000's having a more mid-saturated sound, tracking and mastering negates any out-of-the-box sound quality besides different sampling rates. i could make a drumpattern on the 2000 sound just like the 1000 and vice versa.

Nah nym, you misunderstood me....I was just going off of what you were saying....You made it sound like you are fixing your 1k a lot, thats all!!!!
