Hi, thiz is my first post at this forum...
im thinking what mpc to buy (its my first mpc)..

what are the differences between the akai 0,5k and roland sp606?

what u think for my first time using a mpc?

atm I dont have money to afford mpc 500 :cry: ... so ill apreciate so mutch ur sincerly comments..

I see that roland 606 is so much cheap.....

i say save up for an mpc 500 or a used 1000. the 606 only has 8 voice polyphony which ure bound to run out of voices as opposed to 32 on the mpc's which u'll probably never run out of. the 606 probably has better effects though if thats important to u, but all in all its a cheap imitaton of an mpc. theres a reason why the 606 is cheaper.

Yeah I should go for a mpc500 it gives you so much more in the end + it's an mpc....

For around $700 a used 1000 would put some serious power at your fingertips for around the same price. The 606 is geared towards DJs IMO. 4 tracks and limited polyphony hurt it's longterm possibilities bigtime.

Actually it's the stripped down sampler section from the 909. The MPC is a different animal altogether.
