quick 60 vs 2000 ?

SIC as hell, right!? he's using track mute on that 2k, right? and the 60 can't do this? dude's videos make me wanna convert to a 2k! the effects card can still make it sound grimy as hell!

even though this is a 60 forum i wanna know what those of you who've used a 2k think about it compared to the 60? what about the 2kXL? i know i'd need the effects card & the 8 outs, the memory expansion is cheap so that ain't no thang but i might be able to trade my 60ii w/ OS 3.1 & memory for a full-blown 2k (or XL?). i heard the 2ks have problems freezing up and such?

anyways, youtube vids are getting so ILL. that user, dopegraffhead, has a grip of 'em up there. check 'em out.

I had a 2kxl and switched to a 60. Only thing I am starting to not like about the 60 is how slow it is. Still wouldn't go back to a 2kxl though.

Thinking of getting a 3000. But I won't use an MPC that's not a 60 or 3000.

I doubt u're going 2 get many heads leading u in the 2000 direction on this board. It all depends on how u work... the 2KXL has some nice features that the 60 doesn't (def get the XL instead of 2000 as the 2000 has the boot OS and XLs r cheap right now). If u like/don't mind fewer dedicated buttons and more menus or need the added memory and features i.e. timestretching, then the 2KXL is the way 2 go. If u prefer the old-school way of doing things and that unique 12-bit sound, stay with the 60 and make your own vid. -uno-

I combine the 60 and the XL, this is a great way to get the best of 2 worlds.

60 has automated mixer. it/s not exactly track mute, but better than nothing.

I started on a 3k and picked up a 60 to mess with. Everything on the 60 takes forever. In that respect, you wont be disappointed with 3k.
