Mpc 2000xl MCD or Mpc 1000?

I'm planning of buying an mpc, but i'm trying to choose between the mpc1000 and the mpc2000xl. Which do you prefer?

I've had the mpc 1k and returned after a half of year, the pads were facked up. The functions were great though, I just didn't feel the machine. I've 2kxl now and I wouldn't go back. If you really want to have the mpc as the centre of your studio, then add the effect board to the 2kxl to make it equal to the 1k as far as functionality goes. 2kxl is built better and the pads are great, compared to the 1k.

agreed about the pads, but it'd take more than the EB to make the 2000xl equal to the 1000.

id go 2kxl. Most software features can be achieved in other ways but the basic feel of your MPC is permanent.
