the 4000? or the 1000/2500? Which one integrates best with the PC and why?

I hear the 4000 has a software that integrates with the PC thru USB and the 1000/2500 also do but its a little different.

I'm a PC dude and thats my biggest concern. Lookin to cop a new MPC which one should i go for and why?

I had the same concern with the 2000xl and my pc but then a wise old man told me to install a mcd for my mpc and buy a usb card reader for my pc to go back and forth with my sounds. the only issue is that my sounds have to have a unique name . this is a problem when I use my zone slices in a program and they are named by default slice 1 slice 2 slice 3 etc. this is a big problem when attempting to load them on pc as slice 1 will overwrite every file named slice 2,3, 4 ,and cuz errors when loaded back into the mpc. as a work around solution I name my progarms with the numbers first like 1slice 2slice 3slice instead of slice 1 slice 2 etc
pretty much any mpc work well with a pc, in addition get a mpc editor programs software, midi interface, seq software and you wil be fine.
hope this was helpful

No doubt: MPC4000 is best in cooperation with PC. It's one and only MPC which has Ak.SYS program. From Ak.SYS you can upload and download samples and banks through USB, as well as you create and manage banks. No other MPC can do that. It's a little bit marketing issue, I guess, Akai did not build Ak.SYS option to new MPCs, it's wonder why, MPC4000 is not sold and not supported anymore, so it would not compete sales of MPC1000 and MPC2500.

Cant you upload/download samples with a 1000 also thru USB and If you get a "MPC Editor" software on your computer cant you create and manage banks and simply load them with your 1000?
