wat mpc can do this...

im guess only a 2500 or 4000 but....


on wat mpc can i make a beat and then save it on the HD or CompactFlash card..

and then just take the card put it in my PC and drag and drop teh beat...

or if i have a HD i can just connect to the PC via USB and drag and drop the beat...

same with loading samples on teh mpc.

Well you will have to RESAMPLE in order to drop the beat straight over like that. If u dont resample the beat will be an SEQ file not an wav file. Now as far as samples go you can send them back and forth via USB or the cardreader. I know what u are wanting to do. You are wanting to make a beat and have it sent straight to your PC w/o having to RECORD it. But it dont work like that. You will need to either RESAMPLE orRECORD to your PC.

WTF, a $1000 and over gear cant simply save it in song mode as a Wav on the HD or CF and then connect to PC drag drop, and convert to MP3?!?!?

BULLSHYT.... FUK MPCs

You should read the manuals of the 2500, 4000 and 1k. Maybe they can clear things up for you. With some creativity and a little thought you can get done what you;d like to do. There is no 1 button for the process you describe though.

Yes an mpc can resample(500, 1k, 2500, and 4k) but you will need the memory expansion in order to resample the whole song. Have you ever considered buyin an MV8000? (NOTE: not saying it will make things easier but just curious. Cause u seem to want an ALL-IN-ONE box which the MV is. That might actually suit your needs/preference)

man I do this all the time on the 1000. you will need the ram expansion though, unless you want to just resample a few bars, send to pc and loop the shit. but what I do, save all my sequences and whatnot along with the samples used into one folder, and then resample that beat and save as a wav. if you want to listen to your old beats on the fly it is really easy this way, you don't gotta open shit or wait for anything to load, I do this a lot just when I wanna listen. I'm not positive but I am pretty sure that every mpc post 2000og can resample, it's just a matter of having enough ram.

Like Nicole said think about an MV8000 or 8800 because you can bounce your performance to wav. Usually you'll have to bounce the whole thing down, not individual tracks. But you can bounce a short loop or whole song to wav.
