mpc 500 or 2k???

gonna cop a 2k or 500 off of ebay next week....pay day....dont know which i should get.......had to sell my 1k before for bills and now need my mpc fix!! im looking to spend about 600 total. anyone know where to get a 500 or 2k that cheap? besides ebay?

I'm torn with the same situation. Had to sell the 2500 to pay some bills. Time to get a new MPC. I'm thinking of going with the 500 for the fact that it is new. I wouldn't want someone's clapped ass MPC. I figure I'll spend 6 bills on the 500 (which is a totally capable machine) and then buy the new 4000 or 5000 when my loots correct.

my gut feeling is whatever mpc i can get my hands on! haha. i've been without the mp for a minute. i can rock whatever mpc you put in my hands. the 2k is hot....or 2kxl.....or 5 hunned....i think im just gonna see whats on ebay the day i get my check and do my thing with whatever....i still have my turntables, keyboards, etc...i just got 100 free 70's R&B records and thats my main inspiration. good lookin on the feed back..

the 1k is another option, but i dont use a lot of the features on the 1k, i just sample, make drums, add a few keys, which can basically be done on any mpc...i can use the 500 or 2k and be completely happy. and the pads are bad on the 1k...bought a brand new one and within 3 - 4 weeks, 3 pads werent working... Im leaning towards the 2k and an asr10..that would be sooooo nice... i'll make sure i let you guys know what i get! but if you have any more advice, speak on it.
