Is there an mpc that is soild??

im looking to get on a MPC again and doing research but i always end up finding bad things about all mpc..

4000 has bugs and no more OS up-grade.

2500 data wheel sucks and brakes after heavy usage.

2000xl and 2000 the box is made real cheap and makes noises and rattles (i had a 2000 and gotten that. so dont tell its not true).

3000/60- old school text screen and lack futures.

FUK MAN!!!!

In that case any and every piece of gear MPC or not will have bad things.

If there was a perfect piece of gear that never broke that was always was made very tough and durable had nice shiny vibrant text and every feature with OS upgrades until eternity then I'm sure everyone would be on that machine.

for real, unless you wanna get one of the old school tanks the 2000 is probably the most durable.

i cant even make my mind up any more.. but the xl looks like the best choise atm.

i don't see how it would help me if i read the manual of an MPC, i already know what it does, i had one and i did read the manual.

and reading the manual wont change the defects of the MPCs

my question was is there a Solid MPC, not what can a MPC do.

so far it seems you are asking if there is a mpc that can do everything YOU want it to do, no?

Judging by your critiques of the MPCs it seems the 2500 will probably closest to what you might be looking for. Unfortunately it doesn't have the omnipotence button. But if a jog wheel that "sucks" is your biggest worry then I think you'll be ok. It can withstand rotation by a human finger, unless you were planning on taking a power drill to it. It ain't no MPC 60 jog wheel.

Plus as long as you upgrade to JJ OS you can be assured that it will have consistent upgrades (JJ is a madman/men). Bug free OS might be an issue tho.

It also has a decent amount of features for you experiment and get busy with (not a 4000 tho).

By the way, your topic is asking if there is an MPC that is "soild."

Build well, wont break on me if i use it everyday, if i hit the pad i want to heard the sound im triggering not the case shaking...

something that wont just shutdown/restart/freez/**** up on me while im using it.

something i can have for more then two years...

im sure any mpc can do those things

i guess it depends entirely on the lazy person in the sweatshop that worked on the specific mpc that you get.

I still have my 4000 and it's built like a tank and about as heavy. The bugs are not bothersome at the most practical levels and usually only serious a nag to power users. To most the bugs are no big deal. You're right about the OS.

i owned the 2kxl and now im on the 4k.
never had to complain with either tho im aware of the problems they have but whch machine hasnt troubles?
lemme tell u there is no competitor on the market to beat mpc's as far as flexibility AND toughness. built to resist also with hot hot weather, stage lights or the opposite, very cold temperatures...

maybe what you need is an mv 8800
