this might be a dumb question-----IM LOOKING TO BUY ONE ---WOULD IT BE BETTER TO BUY THE NEWER MODEL? DOES THE NEWER MODEL HAVE BETTER UPGRADES COMPARED TO OLDER BLUE MODEL?

well, considering you never said what you considered buying- then yeah it is kinda dumb. assuming your talking about the mpc 1000- the older blue model may have an older os- but newer os is availabe through download for free. And i would suggest getting a late model with low miles, because a common complaint is the pads die.
