So a few days ago I brought in my trusty old MPC2k to GC intending to trade it in for the 2kXL. They had a used one and wanted 500 for it so I said awesome I'll bring my shit up! Well I get there and the jog wheel on the XL is fried! Weak right? Well I talked myself into updating to the 1k. This was a hard hard hard thing to do. Especially to let go of the old trusty 2k, ut I was just tired of the zip disks, crappy file management, and freezing. Well just my 2cents... this 1k beats the SNOT out of my old 2k! An awesome choice this was indeed. Built in outs? Digital I/O? Built in effects? Real time pitch shift? USB? CF card? Hard drive? I'm in heaven =)
