first sampler

Im fairly new to the sampling market and after extensive research I have narrowed my choices down to the Roland MC-505 or the MPC-500

And so, id like to know if the mpc500 would be a good choice for a first sampler

Id like to have this sampler as my learning device and im sure il probably graduate to something bigger like the mpc2500 in a year or two, so would this machine be good to start off with?

that does not make sense. Why would you pay mad money for a mpc500 and then ditch it for a 2500. The mpc 500 isnt much easier than 2500, if anything its more of a clusterf_ck.

The Roland MC-505 does not sample. I think you meant to mention the SP-505 or the SP-555.
The SP-505 is discontinued and the SP-555 is their latest sampler.
Before you buy anything, read up on the SP-555 as well as the MPC500, and decide which is more suitable for you. But honestly, if you're really looking to buy an MPC2500 and you're serious about making beats, then take juxt's advice and save up for the 2500.

you might wanna look for a used 1k in the same price range as the 500. Ide go to a local gear shop and test them out too. Worst thing is getting set up with a machine and figuring out it cant do half of what you want it to do. take your time.
