i've got a 1000 and I'm happy with it, run the latest jj os and everything is as good as it could be at this point but I keep it with me alot when i'm out and about try to get a beat in here and there.
i'm def keeping the 1000 but i'd like to know what's the differences between the two, I know the 500 doesn't have wavform editing, and I know it can run on batteries, but outside of that what are the main differences.

is there anything I should now regarding the q links
or auto chromatic
or 16 levels
or ???

thank you for your help.

Honestly the mpc 500 looks anoying as hell with he way everythig is setup on it.Besides , I've only heard complaints from people and nothing positive. If you really want a portable sampler you would be better off with a Sp 303 or 404 which seems much more practical altough I haven't tried for more than 10 minutes...
