lol, this made me think about that picture of the 2500 with the cup holder on it. Anybody still have that picture?

I heard they are coming out with an mpc3490. its supose to have the same kind of sample engine as the 4k but different. it will have a color screen built in 10 out like the 2500 no SCSI but it will have the usb 2.0 and firewire 400 jacks thats all I know for now im still working on getting more info. I started this new job cant saw where it is or the name of the company so please dont ask

You forgot one other feature....it will perform like sh*t after you actually get it.
2500 = over priced
1000 = over priced
500 = WTF priced
With the build and pricing scheme a new MPC is in no way attractive.
They are already cutting too many corners with the current line, trying to build something more elaborate would just be a higher priced POS.

you got most of it down, only it's going to be usb 3.0 when it hits the market in '08
