Holla to the button pushers in the building (or where ever you may be).
I have a couple of things that I need clearing before I make the upgrade from the regular 2000 and I was hoping you guys could help me out.
As my situation stands Im running a MPC 2000 on the upgraded 1.72 version, however I does not have the assignable 8 out card and my ony method of saving programs is onto floppy (which is a **** once you wanna turn it off after you have ran out of discs!!!) Anyway, Ive been thinking of buying a cd drive for it to make saving stuff a whole lot simpler, however Ive been swatting up on the 2000 vs. xl sections in most forums for a while now and have come to the conclusion that I want one of them now. HOWEVER... My mate has just bought an 2500 on finance and asked me to show him some basics on it last night. I went round and loaded her up, and first impressions were that it felt a little plastic. This aside I persisted (it took me about 30 mins to work out that the shift or mode select buttons were on the pads rether than the number dial... retard) but yeh, I found it had an unbelievable amount of extra features like the lfo, 2 filters, extra assignable slider etc. But It still caused some slight problems. I jst want to know from 2000xl users and 2500 users what the best and worst features of the machine and system are, and which you would recommend given the difference in price and value for money aspects.
Any help would be great.
