Hi there,

In experimenting with different O/S versions, I have noticed that with the JJOS Free 3.12 version, if I press a pad softly, the sample plays as it should; yet if I continue to press down, the first part of the assigned sample plays at about 1000 x a second!

The only way I can think to describe it, is it sounds like a 50cc 'motorbike'!

It works perfectly with the Akai o/s, and the trial version of JJOS2XL.... it's just the free version which behaves oddly.

My MPC1000bk has a black rear panel if that means anything ? (I believe they also have silver :? ). Also, I performed a 'reset' after installing the o/s.

I read somewhere the the upgraded pads are not compatible with JJ3.12. Is it possible / definite from the description of my MPC above that I have an upgraded pad version, hence the issue with jj3.12?

Cheers for your help!

iix.

i have ok all in trim mode, thanx for help.

someone else know about the problem?

Yeah my black 1000 did the same exact same thing. Motorbike is the perfect description, as it went way beyond any kind of simple double triggering issue. My 1000 has a black back too, but I noticed it has the BK at the end of the serial number, but not the N. I bought the unit used with only 16mb and could tell it hadn't ever been opened or upgraded. When I opened it up it already had the new improved pads though. Maybe this glitch is limited to these "in-between" models when they made the pad switch.

I had the same thing where it worked fine in OSXL demo, so I just bit the bullet and paid for OSXL right there.
I realize that $119 to fix the problem isn't a great solution but fortunately I wanted the OS anyway.
But no, I was never able to fix the problem in 3.12.

Do the favor to me though it is with the previous versions for that I have asked please

I looked at the other thread and I see your problem. I've seen a few threads here where people request an upload of the older versions of JJOS Free, but it seems no one has ever uploaded them. I agree someone here must have them backed up somewhere. I don't have any versions before 3.12, and never used any before 3.12, so I don't know if pad trigger issue is a problem in those versions too.

Can anyone here link djpuaa to the legacy versions of JJ Free?
