ok .. i know some of you didnt see the point of this feature but i think its great.

I havent been able to play with it til today cause i had a gig on monday, and didnt want to update.

Basically ive been experimenting using the mpc pads to control mpc functions by linking midi out B to midi in A ..this is going to be so good for live use.

I change the midi out note of the pads to the note values below what the mpc recieves on ( 0-35) this means the mpc can control features without triggering samples on the designated midi channel for button mode, (it just feels tidier to me too)

As expected on the mpc you can play pads in a program but do other cool stuff like mute other channels etc - just go into the pad to note out window and change it to the appropriate if you want to assign a pad to a button feature.

.. but this is where it gets really cool.. using simult you can create MACROS!

I did a simple one which goes like this : cursor up > cursor up > data wheel left which means i can jump from the simult seq field to the new loop field and turn it off with the touch of a pad .

Another example : pad mixer >f5>cursor down>cursor right : this can be used to highlight the input through filter so you can quickly start using the qlink filter on the input signal without the usual button presses.

Simplifying mpc navigation like this is going to help me so much with live stuff. You could even sequence this stuff.

One thing that would be nice is if track mutes/solos worked as toggles at the moment there just note on/off so you have to keep your finger down.

I love the button feature. If you use a controller with toggle track mutes and solos work the same.
Also just watched your video (looper mode) when you bring in the rc50 with the beat amazing.Digg
