Saving parameter settings: pan, filters, level, tune....

(running JJ OS XL on mpc2500)

How would one save their work so that the various parameter settings (meaning pans, pad levels, filters, tune, track velocity etc.) are saved as well? Is this possible? If not, that's gotta get fixed.

save entire memory saves everything. if you put it in your project this should save it.

Anyway to do it so that I'm just saving the settings and not the samples as well? I figure I could load the project settings first, then manually load the programs and samples. Definitely save space on my CF (i.e. not having the same samples saved multiple times in different folders).

well man, if you get a hard drive, you shouldnt worry about the samples being in multiple places. i have a 100 gigabyte hard drive in my mpc. thats 100000 megabytes. most drum samples are way less than 1/10th of a megabyte. even if you have a lot of samples from a record, your total project size wont be significant in terms of the size of the drive.

its not easy to find a small drive these days, and they arent expensive. theres no reason not to have one.

oh dip thats a big HD. Didn't even know mpc's could have internal HD's. I've been using CF cards for a while, and they've done the trick, but that definitely sounds like the next move. Good look.
