Hey everybody!
I think i found a bug in the jj os 2 xl but maybe i'm just doing smoething wrong, so I'm asking here first:
I created a Multisample-Programm of a synth-sound. I've Sampled some notes, defined a looping-area for each of the samples in Trim-Mode und set the looping mode to x-fade; then created a INSTR-Programm, in which i assigned the different Samples to the intervals. So far so good, everything fine.
Then i figured out that an x-faded sample in stereo takes 4 voices (of the 32 max. voices) so playing chords takes away very much of the polyphon-capacity. To solve that i wanted to convert the samples to mono, so they only need 2 voices per pad now.
I converted every sample to mono (in Trim Mode -> Edit -> Stereo to Mono). The Loop Start and End-Points were still there after converting, und the loop-mode was still set to X-fade. When i played the looped sample in trim-mode everything still worked fine, the sample was x-faded perfectly.
Then i went back to main screen and tried out playing the samples (i loaded them in an INSTR-Programm, just like i did to the stereo samples before), but i could clearly hear a clicking noise were the sample is looped. the stereo samples worked perfect, no clicking.
I think the Instr-Programm doesn't read the loop-setting of the sample correctly.
For the last 2 days I've tried almost everything to get the mono-samples to x-fade, but the won't
Does anyone of you has the same problem? Is there a solution for it?
Ok, i could use wavelab to x-fade the samples on the computer, but why should i do that when i payed much money for os2xl?
