I have both a 5000 and a new 1000. I am learning to use both, one on the road and the 5000 at home. So I am the old dude of the forum but I am giving it a good go. I really like these machines.

So, I want to download the JJ OS for my 1000. There are so many versions, I need help as to which one to start with. I am using a Mac Book Pro and I have a new 1000 with the expanded memory. So exactly which one is it I download?

Thanks.

Typically I would recommend the free version 3.08 first. However, since you have the 5000, you would find the free version extremely limited. So I would suggest OS1 ver 4.99J. You need that before moving on to JJ OS2 (which I believe you'll find to be more to your liking).
If you have any questions, send me a PM.

Download it first and install it. You can do everything with it. But you can't save your work until you purchase the password. There's more info in the JJ OS FAQ Sticky topic, which will give you all the info you need. If you still have any questions, send me a PM and I'll help you out. But either way, let me know how you like the OS after you've played around with it.

Yeah, I agree and recommend it entirely after purchasing OS1.

Not to go off topic, but I'm still behind on OS2XL and can't really say it's for everyone, from what I've read so far. But OS2 is definitely worth the upgrade from OS1.
I hope to spend more time with OS2XL this weekend while I have the time.
