I'm on JJ OS2XL on the 1000 and I got this TR808 snare sample in one of my drum programs that I created. The problem is, when I trigger the pad or midi note assigned to the sample once, it echos as if it's looping. So I went to the sample trim screen and saw that LOOP was set to ON for the 808 snare sample. So I turned it OFF. Now, the snare sounds as it should in the program. So I saved the snare sample again in the same folder with the program. I even saved the program again just in case. I did this so the LOOP OFF setting for the sample would be retained when I load the sample and program back up again. After doing that and turning my MPC off after I was done with my beat-making session for the night, I thought everything was honky dory.

Well, I was wrong. When turned my MPC back on today and loaded the program and samples up, the same 808 snare sample still does the looping thing, even after I previously turned it off and saved sample and program with the LOOP setting to OFF. So every time I load the sample, I have to keep going to the sample trim page and setting the sample LOOP to OFF for this one sample!!!!!!! Why???!!!!!! Does anyone else have this problem in OS2XL?

Create a new folder for this work and Save Entire Memory there. Load from that folder.

Do you then get the same problem?

Thanks guys. I was able to successfully resolved the issue. After reading both of your posts and getting ready to try your suggestions, just realized something. I have the MPC setup to autoload a couple of folders with programs. A couple of these programs also contain 808 samples and among them, that 808 snare. After the autoload finishes, I then load the new program I've created in a separate folder, which also contains the same snare. I also have "Replace same samples" set to NO.

Therefore, this 808 snare exists in two folders and the same samples want reload if they're already loaded. That's where my conflict was!!!! Since I've already saved the changes to the snare in the folder with my new program, I had to go to the sample trim page and do the same for the 808 snare in the folder that autoloads. That fixed the problem.

Thanks again, I appreciate your suggestions.
