yo!
it's the weirdest thing. I've got this groove and then sampled some keys and when I'm hitting the pads they play back normally, but when I record them and try to play it back it doesn't play the full sample or sometimes it doesn't play anything at all! this happens with 1shot and note on same thing.
maybe the samples are too short, or the MIDI events are too short?
I'm gonna put the JJ OS, a bigger CF card, and more ram in near future, but I'd like to work until then :/

ps the mpc is fairly new (couple of days) so there's just a sequence or two and just a couple of dozen sounds sampled from LPs. so the memory shouldn't be the issue, right?
