Inst program setup osXL

What is the best way to setup a inst program, I mean the best way to set the range ( high, low). If I have C1,C2,C3,C3, the notes need to be in the middle, at the bottom or end of each range?

right in the middle, phil. minimize stretchin both ways.

One thing I do is I tend to create Instruments based on useable scale or should I say the scale I find useable.
I normally layer and/or overlap samples from various sources to create more useable patches insteaqd of trying to scale the keyboard with multisamples.
This gives Instruments that play well with others and sit better in a mix.
