I've had an Mpc for about a year now and just updated to JJOS 1 a few months ago- i wish i'd done it sooner (yes it is worth the $49 and no you cant get it anywhere for free haha!).
basically, i have my mpc acting as a drum machine/drum pads and also the main sequencing body to control a few synths (microKorg, roland SH32 and MC303).
just yesterday i booted up all my gear and started working on a song only to find out that after setting the synth voice i needed and pressing play on the MPC all the synths had reset to their A11 (first voice). i've looked in the events list and there's no program changes, i also disabled the pogram change function on the microKorg but this is really inconvenient as i use this through my set. I've also searched on this forum but i cant seem to find anyone whose posted about this problem. any ideas people?? any help would be well appriciated! thanks alot

P.s. it never done this before!

you neeed to go into the settings menu on your outboard gear and turn off "program changes" that will stop all the random pgm changes . its the mpc doing it.

Don´t know myself , never had this happening myself. Did you check the other pc/bank select settings (don´t know how it´s called), go to the bp.c. field and press window.

cheers guys, as i mentioned i did turn off the P.C. receive settings on my other synths but this is a problem because i need to use them in other parts of my songs! i realise its the MPC doing it but there is no info in the MPC program change field, i thought i may have recorded one by accident but this isn't the case. all the midi is working as it is sequencing the synths but just spitting out program changes as soon as the play/start button is pressed. i don't know whats going on and i don't fancy reaching for the factory reset as i'll have to pay for JJOS again!!
Thanks for your input i'll soldier on and see if i can figure it out :)

You dont have to pay for the OS again.

Did you try what i suggested?

Does this happen only with this one sequence or even with a blank new one?

it seems its only doing it on a few sequences but yes, the program change field on every sequence is blank :? thanks for all your help guys and im glad i don't have to pay for JJos again- i thought if the mpc was factory reset then the code had to be changed, i dunno i thought i read that somewhere....
