ADJUSTING LCD

I have the mpc 1000 version 4.79. I need to know how to adjust the LCD . It is really light, cause my son pressed a few buttons. I read in the manual and it says I need to press shift plus the data wheel. I tried that but nothing was adjusted. Thanks for your help.

JJ OS? Try holding down the STOP button and turning the DATA dial.

hold down shift while u turn the jog..

I have tried that, but that doesn't work. When I press shift and jog the wheel, nothing happens except for the squences go from 1-99 or so. Any ideas? Thanks

r u holding down shift while spining the jog or just pressing it and what os r u running..if its the akai,then it sounds like ur shift button is gone.

I'm guessing it's JJ unless he's posted it in the wrong forum.

I am using the jj 4.76. I am holding the shift button down as I turn the wheel...but nothing happens.

Not trying to highjack, but I have a question on the same topic...

Is there a way to adjust the information on the the screen? Meaning, is there a way to move the screen left or right or even up or down?
