How stupid am I?? Upgrade problem.

Hello guys..

So, after a long time of waiting, I have again a mpc, the 2500... so, i want to load the jjos 2 -not the xl version... so, on the page it says: "OS2 is installable only from the load mode of OS1." - so, i installed the os1 5.56, fine... so, if I understand right, I should now install the os2 from the load mode of os1, but, the file doesnt appear in the load mode?! on the page stands: "The OS file of OS2 is not displayed on the load mode of XL." - i installed the OS1, but it is not displayed! whats wrong?! weird, when I press save on the mpc it says: "get a xl password!!" - but damned, i didn't install the os xl, I installed the OS1!! 100% sure....

what is it that I don't see?? how stupid am I?!

did you buy it or just download it? not sure but i think you have to buy a "package deal" of os1 ,2 and xl with the 2500 and then you can choose which one you wanna run from there, sounds like you downloaded it and now need to buy the password to be able to save and also to load os2 or osxl.

if you did pay for it then ignore this post.... lol

yeah, for the mpc 2500 you have no choice but to buy all three at once: os 1, os 2, & os 2xl. then you can go back & run which ever one you want. yes, it's really confusing.

Yeah, I didn't buy it yet... I thought, I can install the os2 and then purchase a password. But yeah, ok, now it seems logical... So I hope I get a PW soon... i wanna make beats and save them!
