upgrading from mpc1000 jj o.s. 1 to mpc25000 jj osxl

so... it seams that alot of files dont transfer... is there a way I can load up my old songs... I have tried for over 20 min to find a compatibility chart or something but I cannot...

pitch shifting done on old songs does not play on 2500 from my 1000

Is there a chart or any advice to help me get going so I dont have to have my 1000 setup for certain songs...

Further problem as well.. it seams I cannot control any of my outboard gear through midi.... midi clock works but I cannot trigger instruments? I know the mpc1000 like the back of my hand... (with jj) so I cannot figure out whats wrong.
