Using JJ OS2 with the XL password

So,

I'm now using JJ OS1 and tried to install JJ OS 2 for a while after I realized that it can't be done without a password of JJ OS1. Now I'm wondering how you can use JJ OS2 with the password of JJ OS XL if you can't install JJ OS 2 after you have installed JJ OS XL?

It is said in the JJ OS XL faq that "If the password of XL is entered, OS1 and OS2 can be used without a password."

Whola. And it is said also that "XL cannot switch OS. Therefore, when you return to OS of AKAI, and OS1, please install OS again from the mode of load of XL.
When you return to OS2, please install OS2 again from the load mode of OS1 after installing OS1."

How am I then able to use the JJ OS2 if I don't have the password?


And another thing: now when I push the save button in JJ OS1 the mpc says "GET A XL PASSWORD". I had the XL-file on my mpc when I installed JJ OS1(I thought i put em there for once so there's no more messing around with the OS files in the future). Does it say "GET THE XL PASSWORD" because I had the XL file on mpc when I installed JJ OS1 or is it so because JJ OS1 and JJ OS2 passwords are no longer sold separately(I have seen them nowhere when I have been on JJ OS website)? Do I have to get XL to get to use JJ OS1? Can I use JJ OS2 after I have installed XL EVEN THOUGH it is said it is impossible to do that? It seems impossible to get the JJ OS2 into use at the moment

i dunno about the 1000... but with the 2500 I bought the JJOSXL password for 113 and I can use ALL the versions.
Although OS2 has to be loaded from OS1.. Thereafter you can actually switch between OS1 and OS2 at bootup by holding STOP.

to load OSXL you just load it from a CF card from the load window of any of the OS's.

it really cant be any simpler if you think about it.

Did you install JJ OS2 before XL? That was the point(I'm not sure if I was accurate enough) that I can't install JJ OS2. The mpc doesn't show the installation file even it is on the cf card - I tried it for three times and no results.

So you gotta install JJ OS2 after installing XL?

And yea, I got the 2500.

How much did you pay? On the 1000 You have to have bought them all seperately or all together.on the 2500 you can only buy them all together. Have you received a password via email?

latest version of os 1 must be installed first.
Os2 and xl will then be visible from the load screen. If os2 is loaded it replaces 2xl .

When you turn on the mpc you can toggle either between os1 and 2 or os1 and 2xl..

2 and xl live in the same space so you cant toggle between them when loading.

113 bucks. It is the only option for 2500.

I installed OS1 first and OS2 is not visible, only XL, believe me. OS2 was on the cf(you could see it via usb) but mpc didn't recognize it. It recognized only XL. I have XL now installed.

I tried to change the os when powering up the machine(erase/window/tap tempo button pushed down) but it doesn't work. If window or tap tempo is pushed when powering up, mpc says "wrong card". If erase is pushed, the erase screen just opens when os is loaded.

yep thats your problem:

Installation of OS2 cannot be performed if it is not MPC into which the password of OS1 or XL was entered.
