record program change

Hi guys, I have a huge problem.
I have 20 odd tunes, but none is any use, as i cant recall which program i had my synths set to.
I started writing up program numbers on a pice of paper, but surely there must be a way to record program number via midi on to the tracks. I tried heaps of stuff, i can get sequence change threw changing programs on the synths but not recording program changes to a track. None of the 3 synths record program change. Is all 3 synths wrongly set up ore is it my MPC?

you can send program change messages from the main screen, or insert them via step edit.

I generally include program and patch name in my track name.

"MOTUSR3001" would let me know its a sound from the motif, user bank3, patch 001.

Otherwise you can utilize the main screen method already outlined.
