Hi. I have just recently come into a problem. Ive started to save my programs with the slider settings pre-set on them. But for some reason every time i start up my mpc and try to play one of the programs (with the pre-set slider settings), it doesn't sound. Its like its muted... I then press the 'after' button above the slider, and the program works normal again...!
This is really annoying as i have to be constantly pressing the 'after' button to use those programs.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

it sounds like you (accidently) recorded a q-link value change that reduced the level of your samples. maybe you accidently set the velocity very low or the filter so low that no sound is getting thru. when you hit the 'after' button, you temporarily override your recorded q-link values and get real-time control over whatever the q-links are set to control. turn off the 'after' button & the previously recorded values become active again.

you can go into step edit and see if you have recorded any extreme values that are causing a problem and delete them, or use the OVERDUB feature to record new qlink values over the old ones. check the JJ and Akai manuals for more info on this.
