I turn mmc on and off for trial and error. dont really know what it is. but how do i disable MMC in cubase?

Well in Cubase 4 it's in the Project Synchronization panel, under Master Machine Control Device. It's possible Cubase LE doesn't have that feature. Either way, I doubt it's causing your problem. Still best to leave MMC off on the MPC. You're not sending midi clock aswell from the MPC are you?

I had midi issues wth my m-audio midi sport 2x2 in the past. M-audio released updated drivers after i bought the 2x2. You shouldt try to download the updated drivers if you dont have them already.

i would check your MIDI cables, first. those usb unos can be a bit dodgy sometimes.
