I know there is a specific bug thread, but I wanted to started a thread about this cuz it's a total stop work for me. I also sent this to JJ, so I will just copy the email here:
-----------------------------------------------------
I have a MAJOR bug for you.
The MIDI THRU does not work right for OS2 and OSXL. (OS1 and AKAI work).
I have multiple hardware MIDI devices hooked up, so I want to output MIDI to all of them. This should be accomplished by setting the MIDI THRU.
This is what happens on the OS2 and OSXL:
[Mode 9] F1(MIDI) tab, Soft thru field:
OMNI-A : A comes through
OMNI-B : B comes through
OMNI-C : A comes through again!!
OMNI-D : ?
OMNI-AB does not work!!
OMNI-CD does not work!!
OMNI-ALL does not work!!
Obviously this is a major problem. I can't keep all of my synths hooked to the MPC if this does not work.
-----------------------------------------------------
Okay, so hopefully JJ replies. I was wondering, has anyone else found this? I went back and verified that the MIDI THRU works just as you would expect in the AKAI OS, and OS1, but acts as I state above in OS2 and OSXL.
